Srinagar, Dec 04 (KNO): Within 24 hours of the devastating Nowpora blaze that damaged five houses, Srinagar city witnessed a series of minor fires at different locations on Thursday.
Sharing details, an official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a residential house in Batamaloo suffered damage to one room, while the attic of a mosque in Nalbandpora Safakadal caught fire.
He said, additionally, a minor fire damaged an MCB box at Nathu Sweets. “Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) teams responded promptly, bringing all fires under control without any casualties,” he said.
The officials added, a quick action prevented escalation, with firefighters containing the flames before neighboring structures were affected. “These incidents remind us of the importance of vigilance and timely response,” an F&ES official said—(KNO)
